The Grey District Council is a government administration company for the Grey District which is encompassing Greymouth and surrounding areas. They are in control of services to the community such as Infrastructure for Roading and 3 Waters, Environmental and Compliance as well as Planning and Building Resource and Consents. Community facilities and activities, refuse and recycling. Also, retirement housing for the aging community, management of Cemeteries and Civil Defence Emergency Management.
